About Adriana
Welcome to REBOZO. I’m Adriana; a nurse, educator, mother, and founder of REBOZO. My mission is to provide you with the expert guidance and nurturing care you need for a safe, joyful, and confident transition into parenthood.
I created REBOZO because after years of working with growing families, I’ve learned something important: more information doesn’t always lead to more preparation. Often, it just leads to more anxiety. What truly makes a difference is having a professional who can help you synthesize that information, put it into perspective, and determine what it actually means for your unique situation.
For four years, I worked throughout the hospital’s perinatal units, including Labor & Delivery, the L&D surgical suite, pre-op, PACU, the OB Emergency Department (OBED), postpartum, and antepartum care. I have had the privilege of supporting families through a diverse range of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experiences — including those moments that don't go according to plan. Driven to deepen my expertise beyond the bedside, I pursued advanced specialty certifications. I am nationally certified through the National Certification Corporation (NCC) in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB) and Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM). These credentials represent my deep commitment to understanding the clinical reasoning behind the care families receive and my dedication to continuous growth in this field.
Some of my most impactful work occurred outside the hospital walls. For over two years, I served in a perinatal home-visiting program, supporting first-time mothers in underserved communities. Meeting families in their own homes and helping them navigate the complexities of new parenthood shaped my educational philosophy. I learned that parents don't need someone lecturing them on the “right” way to give birth. They need a partner who will sit beside them, listen to their priorities, explain their options clearly, and empower them to make informed decisions for themselves. Today, I bring that holistic experience into REBOZO.
REBOZO is designed to feel different. This is a sanctuary where we can openly discuss cultural traditions and safe ways to integrate them into your birthing journey. We value and respect all backgrounds, cultures, and identities. Regardless of age, race, ethnicity, creed, or orientation, you are welcome here. This is a safe space for everyone.
At REBOZO, we engage in real conversations where no question is off-limits. We don't sugar-coat perinatal education; we discuss the challenges while providing the resources to navigate them. You will gain an honest, behind-the-scenes look at the birthing environment, equipped with the tools to move forward with grace and confidence.
My goal is for you to leave REBOZO with more than just facts. I want you to understand the process, recognize your options, feel empowered to communicate with your healthcare team, and, most importantly, trust your own intuition. Preparing for a baby isn't about perfection; it’s about feeling supported and ready for wherever your journey leads. You’ve got your baby. We’ve got you.

My Path to Rebozo
REBOZO has been in the works since I was nine years old. As a child my mom and I loved treasure hunting at thrift stores. One day, I found myself in the book section, and came upon an old obstetrical textbook. I still have this book. I picked it up because at this point I had several pregnant relatives and wondered how their babies breathed, and if they ever got bored in there.
I've spent my entire life in that same state of curiosity about pregnancy, labor and parenthood. These days my questions sound a little more like "What labor positions lead to optimal oxygenation of baby?" or "How many minutes is the ideal time to cut the cord after birth?" My education, experience and credentials allow me to sort through the evidence, make sense of the science, and turn it into clear and practical information that helps my families feel informed and confident.
Nine year old me would be extremely proud of where she is today. I love what I do, and when you do that, it's easy to get out of bed in the morning , and it is even easier for the people you serve to feel safe and confident in your care. This is REBOZO. Welcome!
